This golden bird was called Brahaspati. Brahaspati was a divine creature who had been ordered by Indra, king of heaven to go down to earth only in cases of emergency. And that is what it did when it got different people competing for its mother's share in a sacrifice. It faced competition from the Naga Takshaka and Vidagdha; two brothers who fought against each other for her mother's share in a sacrifice. It rewarded the person that it felt was the most worthy of being its mother's share. One legend says that Brahaspati was brought down to earth because it wanted to guide the legendary King Nimi, who lived millions of years before Ramayana. Another legend says that Brahaspati was brought down to earth by Sage Shukracharya to save his son Devavrata, or Bhishma from certain death. According to yet another version, Brahaspati was brought down by the sage Sanatkumara so as to help king Janaka during his difficult times. The myth about this divine creature is said to be narrated in chapter five of Mahabharata called "Jaya Parva". 720p Hd Tamil Movie Download The Myth In a popular legend, a very strong and fierce warrior called Bhishma is said to have been brought down from heaven by the sage Parashurama. Bhishma was born from a fire pit which his mother made by rubbing her body with two sticks of wood. In order to save the child from terrible death, Parashurama ordered that he be brought down to earth as soon as he was born. He was brought down under the orders of sage Vishwamitra, who was unhappy with his performance in one of his sacrifices. And since he was a divine creature, it had powers and intellects far beyond a mortal's capacity. Bhishma was born with many natural weapons and strengths. He was tall and possessed a very tall and sturdy body. He had the strength of one lakh elephants and he could shake the whole earth. Bhishma was so tall that no one—not even divines or celestial beings or demons—could reach his neck, or face. In fact, no one could see his head as it was always covered with a helmet. The mother of Bhishma, from whom he got his name from, was the beautiful Shubhadra who hailed from the kingdom of Kekaya. Shubhadra's family wanted her to marry some other king. But as fate would have it, she fell in love with a Brahmin called Ganga and got married to him. She told her parents that she was going to visit some holy places on the river Ganga. However, she didn't inform them of her actual whereabouts as they were very conservative and would not approve of her relationship with Ganga. Shubhadra and Ganga lived together on earth for a short while and later on decided to go back to heaven. They went back where sage Vishwamitra had been waiting for their arrival. cfa1e77820
